The Sports Instruments ALTA Altimeter Watch is designed with functionality in mind. This altimeter watch has a large, easy-to-read LCD and jumbo buttons which make it perfect when you're wearing gloves. An ultra-strong titanium bezel protects the deep recessed lens against the harshest of elements. A highly sensitive pressure chamber and microprocessor make it capable of measuring minute barometric pressure changes, displaying altitude variations of less than three feet, easily and accurately. The ALTAs primary functions show up in three easily accessed windows. The first is a full-featured wristwatch. The second window displays cumulative altitude, number of ski runs and rate of ascent or decent. The third shows current altitude along with a 34-lap chronograph. We have customers who tell us they also use it for biking, hiking and even skydiving (use at your own risk)! The watch is water resistant which in this case means it can be worn in the shower or swimming. It is not designed for diving.
